Event sponsors are responsible for providing ALL testing materials necessary to run the event. Including copies. (Make a few extra. Total of 42)
If you need anything please contact Tammy Brown at tbrown@birmingham.k12.mi.us as soon as possible. I may be able to help with basic equipment so you don't need to transport fragile items. Please let me know what you are looking for.
There are 39 teams. They will be competing in groups of 13 teams at a time. Every event takes place during three time slots. Self schedule events take place over 3.5 time slots.
Please arrive to your room in enough time to get set up.
We do have access to a copy machine if needed.
All tests must be graded and to the scoring room no later than 4:15pm. If you are in one of the afternoon time slots please make sure you have enough grading help AND/OR make a test easy to grade, such as multiple choice or short answer.
Please DO NOT use a test that is posted on the internet OR was handed out at any previous invitational, competition or coaching event. Many of these students already have copies of those tests in their binders along with answer keys.
Keep in mind this is an invitational. Please write a test that has a variety of difficulty levels. We want to push the thinking of the kids while not discouraging them. However, you need to have enough challenging questions to really distinguish between those who really studied and those who did not.
Make sure you are using the 2018 rules when writing your test. Follow the format listed in the event rules. If they say it will run as stations please make a station test. This is very important!
Please send a digital copy of your test & answer key by Tuesday, January 30th. These will be posted to the Event Tests tab after the competition.
